The Family Medicine residency programs will be supervised and facilitated by medical doctors who have certification and training in their specialties. However, there are not enough national physician specialists to teach at all of the sites, which presents an urgent need for the local teaching staff to be supplemented by visiting board certified specialists.
In other parts of the world, including the U.S., medical professionals can play an important role in practice and teaching for their Christian physician colleagues by serving as professional mentors and friends.

Physicians from the U.S. are needed for teaching on a short-term basis at family medicine residency sites in East Africa, as well as other locations and in continuing medical education seminars in those countries.

You are invited to participate in this innovative program if you are:
A physician with an active interest in learning from those in other cultures.
Willing to share your clinical expertise with national medical doctors and desire to serve others with your skills.
Willing to accept the challenge of adapting to cross-cultural conditions.
Able to volunteer your time for this rewarding experience.
Physically able to adapt to non-Western living conditions.
Capable of providing for your expenses.
